The Bible talks about many people who trusted God and His Word, and saw the blessing of God’s hand moving in their lives.
Abraham once stepped out in faith to become the father of many nations. He left family, friends, and connections that were once part of his life to seek God’s purpose and will. He didn’t leave everyone behind, as he took his nephew Lot with him, but you can say that he only took the necessary pieces for the next step in his life.
So did I. Was it a big change? Yes, of course. Especially when you’re trusting God – someone that cannot be seen – and going along with His plan. It might seem outrageous and far-fetched, but if it’s God plan, it might not be so crazy to take the chance or opportunity.
There are times you have to let go of people and things from the past in order to see God’s blessing and glory in your life. Change is uncomfortable, but, without change, a person will be in the same state, in the same boat, in the same position, going nowhere and letting their time slip away.
Time is something we can never get back, so it’s better to be trusting God and taking a leap. Even if we come up short, we know that, if we’re close to Him, He’ll direct our paths. If we don’t know what path to take, we hear the Holy Spirit and take a chance at what is put in our hearts and minds.
If we make a mistake, He is very able to help us course correct. Learning to hear God is a journey. Ultimately the path of obedience will lead us to the places we need to be, the people we need to know, and a life of fulfilment as we walk humbly in His purposes.
God is our provider. He is our deliverer, and the One our faith and trust should be in. Not ourselves, or our families, friends, colleagues, or anyone else. And our focus should be solely on Him, seeking His will and not our own.
If you truly have your heart set on Him, you will definitely succeed, even when you fail. It seems like a paradox, but it isn’t. Every failure will only let you see what God truly wants you to do and move you forward in your design and purpose.
At the moment of this writing, I am seeing God’s plan and blessings pour out in my life. Connections and different avenues of income are coming in. My spiritual growth, which I felt was either stagnant or progressing only slowly, is now booming.
God tells us to trust Him in Proverbs 3:5, so my advice for anyone reading this is . . . to trust Him! Even if it looks crazy. God is the God of the impossible. Have courage, as it says in Joshua 1:6. He is with us. God bless y’all!
